Pearl River Sports: Nanuet Relays, BCANY Honors

Pearl River took fifth in the girls varsity team competition and 16th in the boys at the Nanuet Relays Saturday. Keillenberg Memorial finished first in both.

Scognamiglio Honored by BCANY

The Basketball Coaches Assoiation of New York named Pearl River senior Marissa Scognamiglio one of its "Best of BCANY" top 50 girls basketball players for 2013. She was the only player from Rockland County on the list. 

Scognamiglio was previously named third-team all-state in girls basketball by the New York State Sportswriter's Association. 

Jack Sullivan of Albertus Magnus made the boys top 50.

• Tennis: Pearl River Tournament Day 1 at Pearl River High Shcool and Cherry Brook Park, 3:30 p.m.
• Boys lacrosse: Clarkstown North at Pearl River, 4:15 p.m.
• Softball: Pearl River at Clarkstown South, 4:30 p.m.
• Baseball: Pearl River vs. Sufern at Provident Bank Park in Pomona, 7 p.m.

• Tennis: Pearl River Tournament Day 2 at Pearl River High Shcool and Cherry Brook Park, 8 a.m.

• Girls lacrosse: Mamaroneck at Pearl River, 11 a.m.

Sunday's events
