Pearl River Sports: Ocasal Helps Field Hockey Keep Rolling

Courtney Ocasal once again provided an offensive spark as the Pearl River field hockey team won at Suffern Tuesday, 5-1.

Ocasal scored four goals, one of them unassisted. Maggie Davin scored a goal and assisted on two more and Jackie Dowling had two assists for the Pirates while goalie Annie McBride made 14 saves. Read about the game here

Ocasal leads Pearl River in scoring with 18 goals and nine assists. Dowling boosted her assist total to nine. McBride has 81 saves, helping a defense anchored by Deirdre O'Malley record five shutouts. 

The Pirates are now 9-2-4 with only one game remaining in the regular season, Friday's senior recognition day game, a 4 p.m. home start against Clarkstown South. The playoffs seeding meeting is Oct. 22, with the playoffs starting Oct. 24.
