Pearl River Sports: Stars Lead Pirates to Cross Country Titles

Pearl River's top runners led the way as the Pirates won the boys and girls team titles in the League 4B Cross Country Championship Tuesday at Bear Mountain.

Pearl River senior Brian Cook finished first overall in the boys race in 15:20.55, leading the Pirates to their ninth consecutive league championship. Field Hockey Wins, Raises Money for the Cure

The Pearl River field hockey raised over $500 for the fight against breast cancer and defeated North Rockland, 7-0, in its Play for the Cure game at home Tuesday. Courtney Ocasal scored two goals and assisted on two more for the Pirates, who improved their record to 7-2-3. Read more here
