The Pearl River High School Girls Tennis Tournament begins 3 p.m. Friday with matches at Pearl River High School and Cherry Brook Park in Pearl River.
Teams from Albertus Magnus, East Ramapo, Nanuet, Nyack and Tappan Zee were invited to join the Pirates in two days of competition. Play continues Saturday at both locations.
Football Searches for First Victory
The Pearl River football team will travel to Walter Panas for a 6:30 p.m. Friday game in search of its first victory. The Pirates showed signs of improvement before falling to Harrison last week to drop to 0-2. Panas enters the game 1-1 after a 24-0 shutout of Brewster last week.

- Boys soccer: Pearl River 3, Clarkstown North 0 -- The Pirates improve to 5-0. They still have not allowed a goal this season.
