Pearl River Sports: Volleyball, Boys Soccer. Field Hockey Open Playoffs on the Road

The Pearl River girls volleyball team will play at Eastchester 4:30 p.m. Friday in the first round of the Section 1 playoffs. The boys soccer team will play at Pelham. UPDATED with times, field hockey playing at Pelham Saturday.

Pearl River (7-8) will open the Section 1 girls volleyball tournament at Eastchester 4:30 p.m. Friday.

The Pearl River boys soccer team will enter the Class A playoffs as the No. 9 seed and play at No. 8 Pelham 3 p.m. Friday. The full playoff pairings can be found here

The Pearl River field hockey team (5-7-3) will play at Pelham Saturday. The game is currently set for 2:30 p.m., but the start time could still be moved up.

The Section 1 playoff seeding meeting for girls soccer will be held Thursday morning. Pearl River will be among the top seeds and is expected to play at home Saturday. The football team is already playing at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at home against Ossining, so the girls soccer game may be earlier in the day. 

Tuesday's Results

  • In field hockey, Pearl River lost at Fox Lane, 5-1.
  • In girls soccer, at home on senior recognition day. Amanda DeCourcey scored two goals and Annie White had a goal and an assist for the Pirates (13-1-2).
