Pearl River Sports: Wednesday Events Postponed

All Pearl River High School sporting events with the exception of the conference tennis tournament were cancelled Wednesday after the passing of junior Thomas Scognamiglio.

Pearl River High School cancelled Wednesday's games in light of the passing of junior Thomas Scognamiglio earlier in the day. 

The boys soccer game at Nyack was rescheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday. As of Wednesday evening, the girls soccer game at Nanuet had not been rescheduled.

Thursday's Schedule

  • Pearl River girls tennis in the conference championship, 3:30 p.m.
  • Pearl River field hockey at home (upper field) against Clarkstown South, 4 p.m.
  • Pearl River boys soccer at home against Albertus Magnus, 4 p.m.
  • Pearl River girls volleyball at Nyack, 4 p.m.

Friday's Schedule

  • Pearl River girls soccer vs. Nyack at OMM Complex, 3:45 p.m.
  • Pearl River boys soccer at Nanuet, 4 p.m.
  • Pearl River High School homecoming dinner, 6:45 p.m.
  • Pearl River High School bonfire/pep rally, 7:45 p.m.

Saturday's Schedule

  • Pearl River girls cross country at Section 1 Coaches' Invitational, 10 a.m.
  • Pearl River boys cross country at Section 1 Coaches' Invitational, 11 a.m.
  • Pearl River football at home against Hendric Hudson, 1:30 p.m. (Homecoming)

Sunday's Schedule

  • Pearl River boys soccer at Nyack, 11 a.m.
