Section 1 coaches selected Pearl River senior defender Erin Woods to the girls soccer all-section team.
Woods was a top defender and a captain for the Pirates, whose season ended with a first-round loss to Rye. Pearl.River relied heavily on its defense this season, with seven shutouts among the team's eight victories.
Woods is a three-sport athlete at Pearl River, playing basketball in the winter and starting at second base for the softball team in the spring.
Junior midfielder Julianna Madigan was named honorable mention all-section in girls socer.
