Pearl River Volleyball, Boys Soccer Eliminated

The Pearl River volleyball and boys soccer teams both lost in the first round of the Section 1 playoffs Friday.

Catherine Manning racked up 18 kills to lead Eastchester to a 3-0 victory at home against Pearl River in the first round of the Section 1 Class B girls volleyball playoffs Friday.

Eastchester advances to play at No. 3 Sleepy Hollow in the quarterfinals Oct. 30 after winning by scores of 25-15, 25-14, 24-9.

Senior setter/outside hitter Victoria Grix had four kills and seven assists and senior middle hitter Annette Krysiewicz added three kills, two aces and a block for Pearl River.
