Pearl River Volleyball Defeats Clarkstown North

Pearl River beat Clarkstown North by scores of 25-14, 26-24, 25-22 Wednesday at home.

The Pearl River girls volleyball team remained unbeaten at home with a 25-14, 26-24, 25-22 victory over Clarstown North Wednesday.

"My team played great," Pearl River Head Coach Brianna Kenna said. "They were aggressive and going for every ball. I am proud of them."

Senior middle hitter Annette Krysiewicz led the Pirates with four kills to go with two aces and a block. Senior Victoria Grix had two kills, three aces and two digs and Kayla Clohessy and Danielle Muchoe each had three kills. Setter Mandy McCarthy dealt out eight assists.

Pearl River improved to 2-2 on the season with both victories coming at home. The Pirates' next game is 4 p.m. Sept. 19 at home against Suffern.
