Pearl River's Rosen, Berry Advance in Conference Doubles

The Pearl River tandem of Jeremy Rosen and Sam Berry advanced to the semifinals of the Conference IV Boys Tennis Championships at Clarkstown South by winning two matches Thursday.

Rosen and Berry will compete in the semifinals Friday, needing one more victory to clinch a berth in the Section 1 Championships May 24 and 25 at A.F. Veteran Town Park in Ardsley. The top three singles players and top three doubles teams in the conference tournament advance.

The second Pearl River doubles team of Neil Francis and Brendan McIntyre lost in Thursday's quarterfinals.
