What Should The Knicks Do In Free Agency? [POLL]

The NBA's free agency period opens today.

NBA free agency starts Sunday, and after consecutive first-round exits from the playoffs, the New York Knicks have a few options to consider in the coming weeks.

A few of last year's Knicks could come back, most notably point guard Jeremy Lin. Guards Landry Fields and J.R. Smith, and forward Steve Novak are also possibilites. A recent NBA ruling on Early Bird rights makes it easier for the Knicks to bring back players claimed on waivers, which applies to Lin and Novak.

Another much-talked about option for the Knicks is to bring in a more experienced point guard to mentor Lin and give the Knicks more depth. Free agent point guards are Steve Nash and Jason Kidd could fit the bill.

There are plenty of other players in the free agent pool that the Knicks are rumored to look at once free agency opens as well. Some of those players are Ray Allen, former Knick Jamal Crawford, O.J. Mayo and others.

So, heading into free agency, what would you like to see the Knicks do?

Get rid of Melo -- you're not winning a thing until he gets out of the blue & orange.

There aren't many options for us. Thankfully, we can use the early Bird rights exemption to re-sign our own guys. But we're only looking at about $3 million with for the mid-level exception. That's not going to be enough to bring in a big time free agent.

I would go for a decent point guard in Raymond Felton, I would get a quality center in Marcus Camby too backup Chandler, JJ. Hickson would be a plus to backup Stat, and run with that crew : the first five starters would look like this; Lin, if he stay's in NY, Fields ( Shumpert ) , Stat, Mello, and Chandler. Coming off the bench would be ; Felton, JR Smith, Camby , Jefferies if he's still available and JJ Hickson; now if they play Miami heat they will be ready for them , it will be hard for Labron or any other heat to come down the middle when u got two seven footers blocking shots in the paint on defense and still can have offensive players on the floor also u got ; Camby, Chandler, Felton or Lin, Mello or JR Smith, JJ Hickson or stat niceeeeeeee let's go Knicks!!!!!!

The knicks should focus on getting Randy foy at point guard and start from there. Replace jeffries with anyone with hieght and good defense. Id love to see Nash come here n rekindle what they had in pheonix.

Knicks should see if they can work out some kind of a kidnapping of Carmello. Blow up the front office. Then maybe see if they can talk to Dick Barnett about coming out of retirement, and go from there.

An issues conference will be a wast of time and money. So many ' issues ' have been pulled out ofRead More thin air. The people who organized against the plant will just keep saying the same thing. No amount of info will be enough, no answer will be accepted. The issues conference will be a circus of endless questions, ideas, and demands. Haverstraw bay reclassified as drinking water will better protect it, provide an endless supply of water and finally help end the stereotype of the Hudson being polluted Recommend
