Pearl River Little League’s opening day ceremony and games were canceled on Saturday due to rain.
“We just didn’t think fields would be playable,” said Joan Bourke, president of the league.
Instead, the ceremony has been pushed back to April 14 at 10:30 a.m.
“We’re staying away from next weekend because of Easter,” Burke said. “We’ll still play our regularly schedule games on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week.”
Bourke added that the games from Saturday that were canceled will be made up Sunday April 15.
