Tappan Zee pitcher Dan Cataldi struck out two while holding Pearl River to one run on six hits and a walk in the Dutchmen's 5-1 victory at Pearl River Friday.
Pearl River senior John Doherty took the loss, giving up four runs in six innings pitched.
The senior recognition game was the last of the regular season for the Pirates. Tappan Zee still has a non-league game at home against Sleepy Hollow scheduled for Friday.
The Section 1 baseball playoff seeding meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 20.
