Thursday Football, Soccer Showdown Highlight Sports Schedules

Due to the weekend holiday, Pearl River will play a Thursday afternoon football game, 4:30 p.m. at home against Spring Valley.

Pearl River's football and boys soccer teams both carry undefeated records into this week.

The boys soccer team will be tested Tuesday in a battle of two of the best teams in Rockland County when Tappan Zee comes to Pearl River at 4 p.m. The game is the first of two home contests for the Pirates, who play host to Nyack 4:15 p.m. Thursday.

That game will be played on the upper field because the 4-0 Pearl River football team is playing Thursday afternoon game 4:30 p.m. against winless Spring Valley (0-4).
