Walsh Leads Pearl River Past Tappan Zee

Pearl River defeated Tappan Zee, 4-2, at home Monday.

Casey Walsh played a part in all four Pearl River goals as the Pirates defeated Tappan Zee, 4-2, at home Monday.

Walsh scored two goals and assisted on two more. After a scoreless first half, Caitlin Noonan got Pearl River on the board with a goal 4:54 into the second. Walsh pushed the lead to 2-0 with an unassisted goal at 19:31 and gave the Pirates three-goal advantage off an assist by Marissa Scognamiglio at 28:12.

Jamie Nevins and Alex Decola scored late for Tappan Zee. Scognamiglio scored the Pirates' final goal of the day on an assist by Walsh. 

Pearl River's next game is 4 p.m. Wednesday at Nanuet.
