Unlock Your Inner Strength Through Yoga

Benefits of Yoga at The Karma Vault

A new yoga studio has opened up in Pearl River. I know this because I am one of the owners! We spent all summer getting the inside of a bank ready for fitness and wellness classes. It wasn't an easy task, but very rewarding in the end.

We opened up October 1, 2012 after making our debut at the Pearl River Day Fair. This town has welcomed us with open arms, and its such a breath of fresh air to see the support of not only the folks living in Pearl River, but also the other vendors.

A lot of people have been walking in asking us how to get started and why should they do yoga. Yoga is not only a full body workout, but it also helps with destressing, increased awareness of your breath and overall health and wellness of your digestive system.  There are different styles of yoga, and at The Karma Vault, we pretty much have a class for every body.  Male or female, young or old, everyone can benefit from this practice.

Here is a little tidbit into my background. I found yoga because of my diagnosis with Scoliosis, and after having to wear a back brace through high school, I had absolutely NO strength in my spine and core.

At first, I hated yoga, I felt it was too slow, and way too painful for me. But I quickly saw the benefits of it. I had acquired flexbility in my spine, i lost over 20lbs, I was less stressed about my body, my asthma no longer needed medication, and in general I just felt GOOD.

I chose to teach this as my profession so that I can share with the world the benefits and teachings of yoga.  I hope you will come on down to The Karma Vault and give it a chance yourself!
