Pearl River Library Summer Reading Program Starts With Chalk Night

The Pearl River Public Library Summer Reading program offers activities for infants through high school students

The Pearl River Library Summer Reading Program kicked off Wednesday with a night of chalk drawings to decorate the sidewalk right outside the library.

Pam Gunning, who runs the program and is in charge of children’s services at the library, said the program has activities for infants through kids heading into sixth grade and programs for kids from sixth grade up to those entering 12th.

There are storytimes, prizes given out for those who read on their own, crafts nights and plenty more. The full scheduled is attached to this article.
