Pearl River 4th of July: Fireworks Are On, But What is Closed?

Many Pearl River shops will be open, but government offices and Pearl River Public Library will be closed for the Fourth of July holiday Wednesday. Don't forget to share your pictures from Wednesday's festivities on Patch.

Residents will crowd Pearl River's Central Avenue Field for the annual 4th of July Fireworks Wednesday night, but that is not the only location open for business on the holiday.

Stephen Munno of the Pearl River Park & Activity Committee said he expected local eateries to take full advantage of the crowd as the committee did not bring in food vendors for Wednesday's event.

Many local stores such as ShopRite and CVS will remain open for their normal hours.

Among the closings for Wednesday are:

  • Pearl River Post Office
  • Orangetown Town Hall
  • Pearl River Public Library

The holiday will also alter public transit schedules Tuesday and Wednesday. For more details on the changes, click here

An issues conference will be a wast of time and money. So many ' issues ' have been pulled out ofRead More thin air. The people who organized against the plant will just keep saying the same thing. No amount of info will be enough, no answer will be accepted. The issues conference will be a circus of endless questions, ideas, and demands. Haverstraw bay reclassified as drinking water will better protect it, provide an endless supply of water and finally help end the stereotype of the Hudson being polluted Recommend
