Just Dance

Lately, my routine of going to the gym has been the same. Get on the bike or treadmill for a mile and then go lift heavy things, either chest and back, arms and shoulder, or legs. After a while, it can get pretty tiring, doing the same thing time after time.
I decided to was time to switch things up. Recently, I just went to my best friend and roommate's gym. She wanted to do cardio and I wanted to lift for legs. We made a compromise. We did both! We did intervals of leg exercises that were also cardio based (box jumps, ladders, star jumps, jumping jacks, etc.), but even that can get to be a little tiresome.
Time for another switch! Recently, and by recently, I mean within the past couple of years, the Wii and Xbox have come out with dancing games called Just Dance and Dance Central. We took on this challenge. But just one moment, we don't have the games or the game systems!
Here's our quick fix. Go to YouTube, type in Just Dance or Dance Central (my personal favorite is Just Dance because I think it is easier to follow the moves), find a song to your liking and get moving! YouTube is entirely free and you aren't judged on a point system so even if the moves aren't right, at least you are getting out there and being active!
Another way to make this less (or can be more) embarrassing/fun, add some friends! While my friends are shaking their hips like Shakira, I look like a 4 year old who just learned what dancing is.
It didn't matter though. We were all active, sweating, and laughing our butts off!
