Krause Kick Cancer Scholarship Fundraiser Saturday

The 2nd Annual Jason Krause "Kick Cancer" runs from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at Kennelly's Grill House in Congers and will include raffles and sports celebrity appearances.

Jason Krause's love for soccer inspired the theme of the scholarship his friends maintain in his name.

Krause lost his battle with brain cancer Jan. 10, 2008 at the age of 33. The 2nd Annual Jason Krause "Kick" Cancer Scholarship Fundraiser is set for Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Kennelly's Grille House in Congers.

The scholarship goes to a Clarkstown North soccer player at the school's annual athletic banquet. Krause, who graduated from North in 1993, was an all-county soccer player. Funds also go to "Jason K: A Matter of Hope" at Memorial Slown-Kettering Cancer Center.
