Orangetown Relay for Life Raises $36,000

The Orangetown Relay for Life will gross approximately $36,000.

According to event organizers, the 2012 Orangetown Relay for Life will gross approximately $36,000.

Most of that number comes from pre-registered teams and their online donations, which came to $27,587. Donations made through Aug. 31 on the Orangetown Relay for Life website will be counted to this year's total.

The relay drew hundreds to the Central Avenue Field in Pearl River June 15 and 16. Proceeds go to the American Cancer Society for research and other support for people suffering from the disease.
