Pearl River Library Displays Bohovesky's Work

Pearl River Public Library's board of trustees passed a resolution Monday rto rename the library's large art exhibit wall space "The Paula Bohovesky Gallery."

The Pearl River Public Library put up a display of art work by Paula Bohovesky April 20.

Then the library's board of trustees passed a resolution to rename the large art exhibit wall space "The Paula Bohovesky Gallery" in her memory. There will be an exhibit of Pearl River High School student art in that space this summer.

Bohovesky was a 16-year-old Pearl River High School student when she was attacked and murdered Oct. 28, 1980 while walking home from the library.

The library is also featuring a link to www.PetitionforPaula.org on its website. Petition for Paula is a website dedicated to keeping Bohovesky's memory alive and making sure the two men convicted of her murder stay in prison.

"A Concert for Paula Bohovesky - A Celebration of a Life" is scheduled for May 5 in the Pearl River High School Auditorium.
