Monday, Sept. 23

  • The 2nd Annual UNICEF Drive for Zero Golf Classic tees off with a 10 a.m. shotgun start at Manhattan Woods Golf Club in West Nyack. Find out more about the United Nations Children's Fund event here
  • The ARC's 18th Annual Taste of Rockland begins 6 p.m. Monday in the Hilton Pearl River at 500 Memorial Drive in Pearl River. Find out more about the event here
Tuesday, Sept. 24
  • The Pearl River High School College Fair is open from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Pearl River High School gym. The fair draws over 90 college and universities and is open to parents and students from all over. 
  • The Orangetown Council meets at 7:30 p.m. in Orangetown Town Hall. Orangetown Supervisor's tentative 2014 budget will be filed. The full agenda is here
  • The Pearl River Board of Education meets 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the district administration building on Crooked Hill Road. 
  • The Rockland County Legislature’s Budget & Finance Committee meets at 7:15 p.m. and Planning & Public Works Committee meets at 7:45 p.m. at 11 New Hempstead Road in New City.
Thursday, Sept. 26
  • Orangetown Town Clerk Charlotte Madigan will host a shredding day from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday at Orangetown Town Hall.
  • The Congers Civic Association will host a Candidates’ Night with town and county hopefuls starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Congers Community Center on Gilchrest Ave.
Friday, Sept. 27
  • Pearl River High School will hold its Homecoming pep rally and bonfire on the lower athletic field 7:45 p.m. Friday. 
  • The Rockland Community College Senior Citizens Cub will hold a Rockland County Executive's Forum at noon at RCC.
