Share Christmas and the Holidays in Braunsdorf Park

The Rotary Club of Pearl River's annual Share Christmas and the Holidays event highlights this weekend's activities in and around Pearl River.

• Where: Braunsdorf Park at at the corner of Main Street and Central Ave. in Pearl River
• When: Friday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m.
• Cost: Free
• Description: The Rotary Club of Pearl River's annual celebration has been a Pearl River tradition for 20 years. The event features holiday music, hot chocolate and visits from Santa Claus and favorite characters for the kids. 

• Where: Barnes & Noble Bookstore at 140 Rockland Plaxa in Nanuet
• When: All day, with the Pearl River Middle School choir performance at 7 p.m. 
• Cost: Depends on how much you want to read and support the PTA
• Description: Shop online or in the store to support the Pearl River Middle School PTA. The school choir performs at 7 p.m. Check out the event flyer here.

Provident Bank Park Home Run Sale and Toy Drive

• Where: Provident Bank Park at 1 Provident Bank Park Drive in Pomona
• When: Saturday, Dec. 14 at 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Cost: Free
• Description: Participants receive one ticket voucher for the Rockland Boulders' 2014 season per unopened toy donated. The team is partnering with Active International for this event. Boulder Bird will be available for pictures from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Most retail items will be discounted between 25 percent and 50 percent. 

• Where: Camp Bow Wow at 101 Route 304 in Bardonia
• When: Saturday, Dec. 14 at 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. 
• Cost: Framed 4 X 6 print costs $10. Dog baths range from $25 to $40, depending on the size of the dog
• Description: Take pictures with Santa Claus, the kids and your pets. All proceeds from framed prints and $5 from each dog bath go to Rebuild Hi-Tor. Find out more at www.RebuildHiTor.org. 

• Where: Living Christ Churcy at 151 S. Broadway in Nyack
• When: Saturday, Dec. 14 at 3 p.m.
• Cost: $20 for the general public, $15 for students and seniors
• Description: The Rockland County Choral Society will perform seasonal music selections. They wil be joined by soprano Michele Sorel of Nyack and the Handbell Choir of Pearl river United Methodist Church. For reservations, call (845) 418-6225 or email info@rocklandchoral.org.

• Where: Greenbush Presbyterian Church at 614 Western Highway in Blauvelt
• When: Sunday, Dec. 15 at 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• Cost: Free
• Description: Join in singing winter and holiday carols around the bonfire at this free event. There will be cookies, hot chocolate and cider available. Dress warmly.
