St. Stephen's is a small church with a casual, family-oriented atmosphere that has served the Pearl River community…More since 1880. The congregation worships together at two services every Sunday morning.</p> <p>The church offers a religious school and nursery for children ages three through 15 that meets Sunday mornings. It also offers a youth group for sixth through twelfth graders, as well as a Confirmation class.</p> <p>Adult education is offered every Sunday morning. Further activities for adults include a book club that meets Thursday mornings.</p> <p>For the community, the church provides a food pantry that serves approximately 25 families in Rockland County.</p>

It sponsors events such as Pearl River Day and Mom's Night Out.</p> <p>The Chamber of Commerce has a number of volunteer committees. There is a Beautification Committee that focuses its efforts on improvements to the Pearl River business district such as planting trees and flowers and putting up holiday decorations. The Neighborhood Alliance Church is a family-friendly church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance that has been…More serving the Pearl River community since 1955. The church provides its parishioners -- a young congregation, mostly in their 20s and 30s -- with Sunday morning services that are traditional yet accompanied by a contemporary worship band. The church is led by Pastors Dan Salvesen and Tim Binkele.</p> <p>Children attend Sunday School and a youth ministry for 7th to 12th graders meets Sunday nights. Adult study takes place throughout the week, all open to the general public. Among the church's annual events are a carnival in August and a Bible-based play in spring.</p> <p> </p>
