Pearl River High School is for students in grades eight to 12. William Furdon is the principal. Cindy Mantas and KevinMore McCahill are the assistant principals. The school won a 2006 NYS Public High School Athletic Association School of Distinction for scholar-athlete achievement. Pearl River was also one of the first three schools in the country to receive the Malcolm Baldrige National Quaity Award in 2001.

Tappan Zee High School serves students in grades 9 through 12. In addition to the standard curriculum, students haveMore access to a broad range of clubs and sports teams, a number of databases for study and the Online Public Access Library System (OPALS) which allows them to locate books and materials in the Library Media Center. Tappan Zee High School also offers Internet courses to students through Virtual High School, a seminar-based educational tool designed for instruction and discussion outside of a classroom setting.

The Pearl River School District draws students from the hamlet of Pearl River and portions of Orangetown, West Nyack,More Nanuet and Tappan. This student body is part of one of the top-performing districts in New York State. In 2010, 97 percent of the senior class earned a Regents Diploma and 95 percent went on to a college or university.</p> <p>The district moved its administrative offices from Pearl River High School to the new location at 135 W. Crooked Hill Road in December of 2011.</p> <p>The district begins foreign language instruction in the sixth grade, offers 15 Advanced Placement courses at the High School, provides a full range of special education services and over 70 athletic teams.</p> <p>The faculty includes 214 teachers with an average of 10.7 years of experience. The district includes Pearl River High School, Pearl River Middle School, Franklin Avenue Elementary School, Lincoln Avenue School and Evans Park Elementary School.</p> <p>Dr. John Morgano  took over as the PRSD Superintendent of Schools in July 1, 2011 after eigth years as the school's Assistant Superintendent.</p> <p>The district also offers continuing adult education programs and a wide variety of activities and programs for senior citizens.</p>
