Jim Guerci, Neighbor

I've lived in Pearl River my whole life.  I've watched the town change over the years.  My friends and I still remember Auction Outlet, Tony's Pizza and Rainbows End.  The town has always retained the essence that it is and always will be, the town of friendly people.  

My beliefs are simple, anything can be accomplished if we work together for our highest and greatest good and the highest and greatest good for all around us.  My grandfather used to tell me that you take care of people and relationships and the rest will fall into place.  My dad took that statement one step further saying, "How can serve  you?"  It is my hope to take the background and compassion my parents gave me and share that with everyone I come in contact with. 

Currently, It is my privilege to work at the Pearl River Middle School teaching 5th grade reading and writing.  Teaching and coaching in the same district I grew up in has been a fantastic journey.  

We do live in a wonderful community.  It is my intention to help us all remember the greatness within all of us.  Greatness doesn't have to be serious; it needs to bask in the playfulness of humor and genuine care for our fellow human beings.  Am I perfect, no, but everyday I work closer to allowing my knowledge and experience to equal wisdom.
