Andy K and Friends Annual Fundraiser

Join us for a the Andy K and Friends Charitable Foundations annual fundraiser this Saturday, November 9th at the Pearl River Elks at 7PM. It is a wonderful night of dinner, cocktails, raffles, auctions, door prizes, music and a great community.

The Andy K and Friends was conceived and is spearheaded by two brothers from Pearl River fourteen years ago. It is an organization with a culture of collaboration among friends, family, and community.  The vision is to assist families, financially who come face to face and experience sudden tragedy, illness, or adversity. Although we cannot change the hardship these families experience, we can offer financial assistance to help ease the burden. Over the course of the last fourteen years, the foundation has directly helped hundreds of families through the generous donations of our supporters.

An example of who we help: The family whose seven year old was diagnosed and eventually lost her battle with brain cancer. One night her father got into an accident on his way home from visiting her in the hospital. He spent months in rehab. The wife/mother went back and forth from the rehab to the oncology floor visiting and comforting her child and husband. Her two sister ages three and eleven were at a loss. Although we could not change the circumstances for this family we were able to show up and offer a financial gift to help them. Perhaps make something in their lives a little bit easier.

This is just one story among countless others with similar tragedy and outcome. The families we assist have life altering events where their world is turned upside down in an instant. We hope you can help us help others by joining us on Saturday night.
