Pearl River Girls Soccer Overpowers Poughkeepsie

Three Pearl River goalkeepers combined on the Pirates seventh shutout this season in a 7-0 victory at home against Poughkeepsie in the play-in round of the Section 1 Class A playoffs Friday.

Colleen McCoy scored three goals and teammates Caitilin Tyer, Annie White, Maura Sullivan and Colleen Bartel each had one for the Pirates, who will play at Rye in the first round of the tournament Saturday. 

Pearl River Head Coach Tim Peabody credited strong defensive efforts by ERinWoods, Annie White, Kari Portington and Lauren Zimnoch.
