The Thunder swept two games against the Diamonds to win the Pearl River Little League Softball Majors Division Championship Wednesday.
Julia Pozzuto singled twice and tripled and Tara MacGregor had a triple among her two hits for the Thunder in a 5-2 victory in the first game. Tori Paciello doubled and singled for the Diamonds.
MacGregor threw a shutout in a 2-0 victory in the second contest. Julia Sciortino, who was the winning pitcher in the first game, tripled in the first inning of the second one and came around to score on Pozzuto's RBI ground out.
