Orangetown Police Warn of Burglaries in Pearl River

The Orangetown Police Department are advising residents to take precautions after a series of burglaries in the Nauraushaun area of Pearl River.

Orangetown Police arrested a man during an apparent burglary attempt May 23 on Oldert Drive in Pearl River, though there is no indication if that incident is related to the other burglaries in the area. 

The suggested measures include:

  • Ensure doors are locked.
  • Keep lights on or use a timer when you are away from home.
  • Ensure that alarms are on when you leave the home.
  • Make arrangements to have your mail and newspapers picked up if you will e away for a few days.
  • Keep vehicle doors locked.
  • Remove valuables from vehicles when parked.
